In our project, we are using TMS320F2800157 with TPS65381A-Q1 PMIC. Currently, we do not want to use the internal regulator of TMS320F2800157 to generate a 1.2V VDD core.
So we decided to use the TPS65381A-Q1 VDD1 regulator with external fet to generate a 1.2V supply for MCU.
TMS320F2800157 max VDD current consumption is around 80mA.
Can we use a smaller FET according to the datasheet and EVM board of TPS65381A-Q1?
For example, can we use SI1416EDH-T1-GE3 for this application?
According to the datasheet, the selected FET has no problem, but could you please validate it?
