Hello,

My customer has a few questions about the TPS546E25.

Q1. Please let us know the expected RTM schedule.

Q2. Can a user use the TPS546E25 without PMBUS connection or control?

Thank you.

Q2. Can a user use the TPS546E25 without PMBUS connection or control?

Yes, the device is functional without activating PMBus.

The MSEL1, MSEL2, VSEL and ADDR pins are used for the device settings.

MSEL1 sets OCL, soft start time and fault response, internal/external feedback divider

MSEL2 set switching frequency, compensation gain and ramp

VSEL sets output voltage when using internal divider or functions as a feedback pin for external divider

ADDR sets mode and address, stack position when configured for multiphase.

    Regards,

    David

  • Hi David,

    Thank you for your reply.

    The customer has further questions.

Q1. Is it currently possible to provide samples?

Q2. If you have any reference materials or simulation tools for users to design TPS546E25 circuits without PMBUS, please let us know.

    BR,

    JH

  • Hi JH,

David is out today and can follow up next week.

    • Yes, samples should be available, I will confirm this and David or myself will follow up
    • For reference materials, most of them are still in development, I do have a preliminary excel design calculator that I can share internally. SIMPLIS simulation model is also nearly ready, but is unreleased as well.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed, and David or I can certainly follow up.

    Thanks,

    Calan

  • Due to the product release timing and the public e2e,  We need to take offline onto the e2e email system.
