BQ25703A: Different pins for Charging and Discharging

Part Number: BQ25703A

Tool/software:

Hello TI team,

I am using BQ25703ARSNT completely designed from your Evaluation module schematics, datasheet and 6712.BQ2571X_SchematicChecklist_CalculationTool. So far everything looks ok. The problem arose during design period where the end product changed its battery to be 2 cell Li-Ion battery pack (7.2V) with around 3000mAh capacity. I know that this IC covers that and that is not an issue, but the problem is that the new battery pack now has seperate pins for charging and discharging current.

Does TI have any example, or information on how to implement such a design? On the top of my head I believe that some control circuit could be implemented to change between pins depending whether outside power souce is being connected, but I could use your point of view.

Thank you in advance,

Predrag
