TPS61379-Q1: OUT capacitor Value

Hi,

I am designing Boost converter to generate 5.5V from 5.2Vin device using TPS61379-Q1.

 I have a question on how to calculate C6 value shown in image below 

 

As per evaluation board schematic it is 1.5uF but there not much information on how it is calculated.

    Hi Anurag,

    The C6 is more like a functional cap used in down mode. In the general work conditions, including yours, you can simply refer to the same value in datasheet, that is, "the effective capacitance is recommended between 0.22 μF to 1 μF".

    And one reminder, to achieve the Vin = 5.2V and Vout = 5.5V, it's better to set the switching frequency a little lower.
