Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ77216
Tool/software:
I am looking to use the BQ76952 battery monitor to create a HW architecture for a low cost 48V battery BMS that complies with the latest UL1973 certification requirements that, critically, does not require any safety-critical software. Will using the BQ77216 as a secondary protector suffice? The goal would be to have a non-functionally safe MCU that primarily communicates with CAN/bluetooth devices.
Can you provide recommendations or reference materials on compliant architectures? Is there a TI representative I could get in touch with directly?
