Hello,

I bought the USB2ANY and connected it to TPS6287B25EVM with 10 pin interface. I selected I2C in 'Select Interfaces' menu, entered default 0x45 in Slave Address. What do i need to enter in other parameters for enabling the I2C interface and read/write registers?

The regulator on EVM is enabled and working because I can see 0.4V at the output with 3.3V input. Do i need to switch any jumpers on the eval board to make it work with USB2ANY?

Hi Sanket,

Can you please send an image of your PC screen, with the GUI open and the EVM powered on? The EVM needs to have power applied for the GUI to talk to the IC. No jumper settings are needed.

The GUI is here: https://dev.ti.com/gallery/info/TPS62876/TPS62876/ver/2.0.4/ I'm not seeing a 'Select Interfaces' menu.

I enabled 3.3V from the GUI and Vin is also 3.3V from an external PS. Here is the GUI image:

Ah, I'm not familiar with that GUI. Have you used it before?

Hi Chris,

I downloaded the GUI/runtime and connected as per instructions. The eval module says that default address is 0x45. I hit connect with 0x45 but it says HW not connected what might be going wrong? Here is the snapshot of the GUI:

Thanks for the image. That message means that your PC cannot see the USB2ANY box. It must first connect to the box and then to the EVM.

Let me ask the group that supports the USB2ANY box for ideas.

Hi Chris,

Do you have any ideas? I tried connecting and disconnecting with different USB Ports but no luck. I see that when i hit 'Connect' it sweeps thru 0x42 to 0x47 and still couldnt find it. Please find out how do we connect this. I need this to work urgently.

Hi Sanket,

Can you send a screenshot of the GUI when it is looping the addresses? I think the USB2ANY must be connected for it to loop the addresses. After it finished looping through the addresses, can you change it to 0x45 with that dropdown in the top right?

Can you also send a photo of the setup, with the EVM, PC, power supply, USB2ANY, etc.?

Hi Chris,

I disconnected everything and restarted my Windows PC, not sure if that was the reason but now it is able to find USB2ANY and connect to the EVM. I was able to change the output voltage from the drop down menu and measure it using DMM.

I am working on a python script to set/unset/modify output voltage. Do you have any programming guide or example scripts available? Is there a way to record the steps taken by GUI to change the output setpoint?

Great! Glad you got it working.

I don't know if there is a way to capture the GUI's reads and writes. But there is a TPS6287x driver in the Linux kernel.
