TPS51200: Request for Max. storage temperature (where functionality of the component is assured for TPS51200MDRCTEP)

Part Number: TPS51200

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am writing in with a query with regards to the maximum storage temperature of the TPS51200MDRCTEP (ensuring that its functionality is assured).

I understand that in the datasheet (screenshot attached below), the storage temperature has been provided. However, there is a note that provides a clause that these values provided for the storage temperature are stress ratings only and does not denote functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions beyond those indicated under Recommended Operating Conditions. The recommended operating conditions do not give further advisories on storage ratings.

What are the values of the maximum storage temperature of the TPS51200MDRCTEP where its functionality can still be assured?

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you.

  • Hi Juwin,

The storage temperature shows what temperatures the device can be stored while avoiding permanent damage to the device. When the IC is in operation, the temperature should be in the recommended operation range to preserve the device lifespan.

Operating the device at the limits of the storage temperature may reduce the IC lifespan as noted at the end of the first footnote.
