LM70880: Simulation Failed (Lo change)

Part Number: LM70880

Tool/software:

Dear TI

I simulated LM70880 using PSpice of TI with settings below

   Vin: 48V

   Vout: 24V

   Iout: 4A

   Cin: 22u + 4.7u + 4.7u + 0.1u + 0.1u

   Cvcc: 4.7u (default setting)

Rextcomp: 100k to VDDA (fdfault setting)

   Rrt: 54.9k (Fsw = 400KHz)

   Cboot: 47n

   Rboot: 1

   Lo: 22u

   Rs: 8m

   Rfb1: 290k

   Rfb2: 10k

   Cout: 10u + 10u + 10u + 10u + 0.1u + 0.1u

The simulation worked fine without any errors.

However, when I changed Lo to other values(18u, 20u, 24u, etc) other than 22uH, the simulation failed with a converge error.

I checked with the quickstart calculator and the calculation formulas in the datasheets,

and it seems that there will be no problem.

If you want, due to company policy, I can only send you the simulation files via email.

Please advice me.

Thanks,

Best regards

Shinyoung Kim
