UCD90320: Power sequence setting

Part Number: UCD90320

Tool/software:

Hi,

Could you please help check if the power sequence setting is correct?

It appears that the voltages configured in the power sequence were not enabling as expected. To troubleshoot, I manually forced the Enable signal, and the voltage powered on successfully.

  • Hi

I would recommend on this quick guide

most rail has control pin as ON/OFF_CONFIG. so you have to ensure that the pmbus-control pin is at right state to turn on rail

  • Hi Yihe,

    Thanks for the feedback.

I’d like to narrow down the discussion to VDD5P0. Based on the configuration, VDD5P0 is expected to power up after VCC12_PSU power-up, but it is clearly not happening. Could you help check if there are any configuration issues that might be causing this?

  • Hi

As explained in the previous reply, you have to look the pmbus control pin which is the key fort the sequence engine.

for the VDD5P0, the control pin must be in the HIGH state to start the sequence.

You have to ensure that this is followed.

Only the pmbus control is at the right state, the dependencey order will be followed later.

    Regards
