You can connect NC pin to RTN plane.

Not sure what you mean by routed via NC pins. Can you please explain in detail.

Hi Amrit,

I meant the power plane (light blue) - Top layer return plane.

As those are NC pins, shouldn't be a problem.

So Can NC pins 1,2,3,4,5,6,7and 16 can be grounded in schematics?

ok. Why is this not mentioned in datasheet?

In EVAL schematics too, these pins were connected to RTN.
