LP5922: Alternate

Hello Team,

We are Looking for an LDO with Current capability greater than 1.2A and ground Current less than 1mA at No load condition.

We came across LP5922 part. But its not recommended for new Design 

Alternate part for  LP5922,which is TPS7A9201DSKR has ground current>1mA.So not feasible for our design.

Queries

1.Why is it not recommended to use LP5922 for New Design?

2.Can you suggest any feasible alternate part for LP5922 with Current capability of greater than 1.2A and ground Current less than 1mA at No load condition.

    Hello Srijesh,

    I will be looking into the reason why LP5922 is not recommended for new design, I may need a couple of days to find this information.

    Regarding some recommendations that can meet greater than 1.2A of load current  and IQ lower than 1mA. TPS74801AWDRCR should meet this requirement since it is rated for 1.5A with 0.55mA IQ, however this LDO requires BIAS rail.

    Hello Andres,

    One more info i missed, I am looking for LDO with output voltage up to 5V.

    TPS74801AWDRCR support Output Volatge upto 3.6V only.

    Can you suggest any LDO with with output Voltage upto 5V and that can meet greater than 1.2A of load current  and IQ lower than 1mA.
