BQ76972: OTP. Programming

Hello,

The FAQ says the to program the OTP one need disconnect all cells from the device.
I do i need to physically disconnect them or i can simply set Vcell Mode register to 0.

    Hello Vadim,

    In order to program OTP, 10-12V must be applied to the BAT pin and the highest VCx pin. This usually means physically disconnecting the battery cells to allow for this.

    Vcell mode just allows the protections for those cells to be disabled so they don’t prematurely trigger protections. More information on Vcell mode can be found in Section 13.3.2.19 Settings:Configuration:Vcell Mode from the technical reference manual.
