BQ79654-Q1: Unable to Balance Cells

Hello !
I am using the BQ7965-Q1 IC as an AFE for the BMS system. 
I am using 8 cells in series and want to do cell balancing on the IC 
but in the auto mode of the IC i am not seeing the cells being balanced 
Attaching the SS below. 
Also i have disabled OT and UT protectors and the BAL_STAT register shows that the balancing is in progress

    Hello,

    The steps should be:

    1) Choose CB length of time

    2) Hit 'select all'

    3) Hit 'set'

    4) And then hit the green 'run' button at the top left.

    I see you have cell balance UV and OTCB thresh enabled. Make sure that these limits aren't being violated before cell balancing even starts. Maybe try cell balancing without these enabled.

    I have tried it for 2 hours of cell balancing length 
    it seems that I was able to balance 6 out of 8 cells . But I am still unable to balance cell 4 and cell 6 which are at higher voltage than other cells.
    My doubt is how should i select manual cells so that those cells also comes down to the same voltage as other cells

    Hi Sameer,

    You can manually select cells by using the manual button next to the auto-run button. You then manually select the cells you wish to balance. Keep in mind that you cannot balance cells right next to each other. After that the steps to cell balance are the same. 

    Ensure that your cell balancing threshold settings are correct and OVUV isn't running before trying to balance.
