LMR43620-Q1: Worse variation R_RT effect in LMR43620RS5QRPERQ1

Part Number: LMR43620-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

I'm BCCing this to a relevant customer. Could you tell us followings?

  1. Does this device intentionally work with 0.5% R_RT resistor?
  2. Do you have any recommendation accuracy range of R_RT?
  3. What specs or performance can be affected with worse variation R_RT?
  4. To check its effect, do you have any list of typical test and its setup?

I see EC table spec'ed with 0.1% accuracy.

Best Regards,

Shoji

  • Hi,

Please find the answer to your questions:

    1) No, it is not a compulsion that the accuracy must be 0.5%

    2) There is no hard and fast recommendation on accuracy, refer the below point that shows that lower accuracy RT will directly affect the frequency of operation and thus the efficiency.

    3) Accuracy on RT directly affects the switching frequency and thus the switching loss.

    4) The only way to capture effect is to perform efficiency test again. Since FSW  directly affects the efficiency.

  • Hi Pramaik,

Thank you for your prompt reply! I'll keep this thread open for a week for customer  additional question.
