UCC28065: UCC28065 inductor selection question

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Customer have referred to the UCC28065 300W DEMOBOARD.

If the project power level is 350W, the operating frequency is about 165KHz@90Vac.

How to choose the size of Ferrite core, such as PQ, POT or ATQ...? Because of PFC CRM EMI problem, customer don't want to use round MPP or SEDUST CORE.

Do you have suggestion for customer?

    Hello Roy, 

    There are many factors and trade-offs to consider for the choice of ferrite core shape, and inductor design is outside of the scope of this E2E forum. 

    Usually size constraints (max height in particular) drives the shape selection, but cost and material availability are other important factors.
    Please search the internet for advice on magnetics design. 
    Also Ferrite core vendors often have extensive application notes for inductor and transformer design.
