BQ28Z610-R1: BQ28Z610-R1

Part Number: BQ28Z610-R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM

Tool/software:

The BQ28Z610-R1 is configured with high temperature step-down charging. The full charging voltage is 8.648V at 0~45℃ and 8.4V at 45~60℃.

The battery starts to charge at 30℃ with 8.648V 5A, and after a period of time, the battery temperature starts to rise, when the battery reaches 46℃, the RSOC is 70%, then the voltage reduction charge begins, and the charger starts to drop to 8.4V, 1152mA current to charge the battery, but when the charge reaches 91%, the full charge cut-off condition is reached. At this time, RSOC jumps directly from 91% to 100%, is there a way to make RSOC not jump, but smooth to 100%?

  • Hello,

It is possible that your Valid Charge termination conditions are incorrectly set. Please ensure that you have the following conditions correctly configured:

Additionally, how was your chemID matched? Have you successfully completed the learning cycle?

    Regards,

    Jonny.

  • Hi, Jonny

    Thanks for your reply!

The Valid Charge termination condition is no problem at room temperaure and how do you think how to set the Valid Charge termination condition.

I get the CHEM ID by collecting the battery full charge and discharge data processing and uploading to TI official website GPCCHEM tool to obtain.

Add the recorded data of RSOC jumps during charging, show in the attachment.charge data .log.rar

    Looking forward to your reply.

  • Hello,

Can you please provide me with your configuration file and the GPCCHEM report you received from the tool to help me analyze your request?

    Regards,

    Jonny.
