BQ79616: Base Chip Wiring of VC and CB Inputs

Part Number: BQ79616

Tool/software:

In our system, we use a base chip that is powered by our LV system to communicate with the HV boards. Right now our LV is 12-14V and powers the base chip. We are looking to move to use this board for a 24V application and had some questions on how to wire the VC and CB pins since they are unused.

  1. How should VC and CB inputs be wired for the base chip for a 24V application?
    1. For the 12V application VC1-16 and CB1-16 are all tied to 12V which is BAT
  2. Can we use this same approach for 24V?
    1. My concern is that the ratings for CB[n] - CB[n-1] is 16V
