TPS25854-Q1: Interface Between TI USB PD Controller and Injoinic InnoSwitch via I2C

Part Number: TPS25854-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello TI team,

We are currently developing a 65W GaN fast charger featuring two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port. The design includes two InnoSwitch INN3368C chips operating in parallel on the input side, with independent outputs. The power delivery (PD) and protocol negotiation are managed via I2C communication between the PD controller and the InnoSwitch chips.

We are exploring USB PD controller solutions from TI that can:

  1. Support multiple protocols across ports:
    • USB Type-C Ports (2x): PD3.0, QC3.0, Apple FC, Samsung FC, Huawei FCP
    • USB Type-A Port (1x): QC3.0, Apple FC, Samsung FC, Huawei FCP
  2. Enable I2C-based voltage adjustments to interface with InnoSwitch INN3368C
  3. Handle multi-port power management efficiently

Could you advise on suitable USB PD controllers from TI that can effectively interface with the InnoSwitch chips over I2C? Any reference designs or guidance on implementation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!65W GaN Charger_new_support_mail-2.pdf
