LM5171-Q1: DISCHARGE Contorl: IC SD

Part Number: LM5171-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5171

Tool/software:

Hi,

We are currently debugging our 5171 circuit.
I have a few questions about this.

what is the meaning of IC SD ?

p. 20 LM5171 Datasheet (SNVSCM3)
I would like to know what could lead to trigger discharge control?

Is the upper "discharge control I (1)" an the lower "discharge control II (2)" or is it the same discharge control?

Thank you very much for your help.

Greetings

  • Hi Viktor,

    "IC SD" means IC shutdown.

This is the discharge logic of the soft start capacitor.  SS/DEM1 and SS/DEM2 are independent.

EN1, DIR FLIP, IC SD, OVP will discharge SS/DEM1

EN2, DIR FLIP, IC SD, will discharge SS/DEM2

    Best Regards,

    Feng
