LM5116-HT: Low Cout due to temperature restrictions.

Part Number: LM5116-HT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5116

Tool/software:

Hi there,

I am designing a power stage based on the LM5116JHD (LM5116-HT). Due to the high temperature ambient conditions (up to 175ºC ambient temperature), it is not possible to find capacitors that can withstand these temperatures and that have a high capacitance.

The standard values for high temperature capacitors are up to approximately 1 uF .

Due to this situation the Cout, which should be 400 uF to reduce the output ripple, is in my case about 5 uF.

The result is that the output has a very high ripple.

How can I solve this problem without using Tantalum capacitors?

Thanks in advance.
