BQ2962: what happen if higher cell stack is connected in reverse

Part Number: BQ2962

Tool/software:

hi team,

Can we check with you on a bq2962 question from customer

They like to know say if the higher cell was connected in reverse order

Results that the higher cell is at a lower voltage than the lower cell stack.

Other than triggering the OUT output.

What other affects would be on the 2nd protector?

From the ABS max rating table below, the reverse voltage is only -0.3 V, so it can cause permanent damage to the bq2962 right? what might be the failure symptom in this case?

Thanks
