UCC5310: Why Ti don't Recommend shaping input signals to the Gate Driver?

Tool/software:

I was hoping to add a RC Filter to the input pin of the UCC5310 Gate Driver to have a delay but then i saw this in the Datasheet?

Can I know what is the reason?

    Hi Pulasthi,

    A 100pF-1nF capacitor with a small 10nf current limiting resistor is a good way to filter noise. 

    This datasheet note only states that using an RC filter to extend the propagation delay will not be very precise. If there is noise injected, it will adjust the capacitor voltage and result in an inconsistent propagation delay.
