TPSM846C23: Power Issue

Dear Team,

After removing one power module in the stacked configuration. The output of the power module is showing 3.7V instead of 0.68V.

The clocks are coming properly. The DIFFO pin is showing only 0.004V and COMP pin is showing 4.41V.

Can you please address what might be the issue with the IC.

Can you please provide your schematic, including which module was removed from the stacked configuration?

Have you confirmed that VOUT is connected to the VS+ and VS- is connected to GND on the remaining module?

Hi Peter,

I had removed U13 from the stacked configuration. Slave is removed.

Yes, VOUT is connected to VS+ and VS- is connected to ground.

Hi Abhishek,

It looks like you are seeing higher vout than expected with both master+slave and with just master only configuration. If that is the case, then we are looking at master been the issue. Now we have to narrow down if it it's the master IC itself or the schematic/layout.

Have you tried putting a new working IC with the latest master only configuration?

If swapping IC doesn't fix the issue, then we start recording the behavior. Please attach waveform to observe startup and steady state for VOUT, VIN, PGOOD, and if possible FB.
