BQ25616JEVM: ILIM,ICHG setting

In BQ25616J ,

1. If D+ and D- are not in use, should the pins be left unconnected or tied to ground?

2. Is input current (ILIM) the same as charge current (ICHG), or are they different? (eg: ILIM=1.3A , ICHG=1.3A)

3. Can you confirm the system output voltage and the switching process when the adapter and battery are connected (adapter = 5V, battery = 3 - 4.2V)?

    Hello,

    1. If D+/D- are not used, please leave both pins open, then the input current limit will be set by ILIM pin.

    2. No they are different, input current can support charge current and system load and is the limit for both, while charge current is the programmed fast charge current for the battery. 

    3. Yes, please read Section 9.3.6 in the datasheet.
