Hi we are devloping a handheld device battery charging and power path mangment block diagram as below

question is

1. Can Vsys provide 3.7V stable output when battery powered over 3V-4.2V battery range.

2. will this IC provide a stable battery charge status as well without battery gauge?

3. If you can suggest any improvments?

4. we want a FAE support over mail/call in india. i am unable to reach mr selva or Mr Vallabh .

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for reaching out via E2E. Please see my comments below.

1) When battery is discharged BQ25620 will regulate VSYS to a voltage above VSYSMIN setting. With default device configuration VSYSMIN = 3.52V and VSYS is regulated to approx. 3.75V. Although be aware as battery voltage increases above VSYSMIN during charge VSYS will also increase. For example, when VBAT = 4.2V VSYS must be regulated to a voltage slightly above VBAT.

2) The BQ25620 is not able to provide same battery charge status as a battery gauge IC. With that said the device does include integrated ADC to allow host MCU to monitor battery voltage and charge current and status register to report phase of charge(fast charge, CV, charge terminated).

3) I have no additional suggestions regarding your block diagram.
