TLC5916: Issue with constant current calculation

Part Number: TLC5916

Tool/software:

Hi!
I'm using the TLC5916 with an R_ext of 270 Ohm (+/-1%). According to the info in the datasheet, the resulting constant current at each output (I_Out) shall be 69.44mA +/- 6% (assuming default settings for Voltage Gain and Current Multiplier after power-up). In my setup, Vcc is 5.0V and the connected LEDs (3.4V, 70mA) are also sourced by the 5.0V power supply. With this setup, I'm measuring a current thru the LEDs at each output of 81mA and a voltage over R_ext of 1.32V. The same applies to the 5 ICs I'm using. How can this be? Am I missing something here?

Thank you for your help!

Best, Michal
