Hello TI Support,

I am trying to run the TPS23882B1EVM008 with an MSP430FR5969 kit in Semi-Auto mode. I downloaded the SLVC790 demo code but consistently encounter an "SRAM Code Load Error!".

To troubleshoot, I replaced the SRAM and Parity code with the latest 0x15 version available for the TPS23882 and added the missing register writes (for RAM preparation) from SLVAE12. However, at the end of the process, I always read 0x00 for the SRAM version.

Could you confirm whether SRAM firmware is required for the TPS23882B, or if it is not needed for this version?

TPS23882 and TPS23882B (similar as TPS23881 and TPS23881B) need different SRAMs. SRAM 0x15 is for TPS2388x, not TPS2388xB.

TPS23882B has ROM based configuration and theoretically does not necessarily need to run with an external SRAM writing. You may only need to select a AUTO pin resistor to program the power limiting.

No problem!

We currently do not have public SRAM code for TPS23882B as single device. Usually you do not need external SRAM writing for TPS23882B single device.

For system using like switch, all TPS23882, 2B, 1, 1B codes should be integrated in the FrimPSE code, which you can get in TPS23881/2 portfolio page.
