Tool/software:
Hello TI team,
We are testing the BQ40Z50-R2 using the demo board with a 2S1P configuration to measure its power consumption. The measurement setup places the multimeter in series between B+ and 4P.
The measured current consumption is as follows:
- Normal mode: Fluctuates mostly between 320 ~ 450µA, occasionally exceeding 500µA (can be ignored).
- Sleep mode: Fluctuates mostly between 130 ~ 250µA, occasionally exceeding 300µA (can be ignored).
The Normal mode current is close to the datasheet specifications, but the Sleep mode current shows a significant deviation.
We would like to ask:
- Is this level of Sleep mode current consumption considered normal?
- What factors could contribute to an increase in self-discharge current?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
