We understand this IC is optimized for 60Hz AC source rectified into DC. Can it be used in DC from 400Hz AC? Can we use the eval kit with 400Hz AC? What do we need to change?

Yes, you can. just size the bulk capacitor properly.

You can try different input on our 65W EVM and see how it works.

Are you meaning the voltage of the primary side capacitor or I need to select a new parts of ESR and capacitance on the primary side? Or also secondary side? We are using the EVM (thanks, it's great) within its limit.

The input capacitor. For DC input, you don't need to. For 400Hz AC input, you can potentially use smaller bulk cap.

Nothing needs to be done on the secondary side.

Thanks a lot! got it. I don't need that much of capacitance due to the higher AC ripple (800Hz vs 120Hz).
