We have designed the forward converter using the controller IC TPS7H5005-SEP. Refer the attached image for reference. Designed converter was working well at higher loads. But no load and light loads we are facing issues like getting voltage spikes across Q2 and Q3 MOSFETS at light load while turning OFF SRA and also at pulse skipping mode the voltage spikes got even higher.
1.) How to turn off the SRA at light loads when inductor current reaches zero to avoid negative current from output to input like we usually done at buck converter as diode emulation mode.
2.) Explain why is it necessary to turn on SRA at pulse skipping mode as mentioned in the datasheet SRA will give pulses even at pulse skipping mode. It looks very strange and unreliable because output capacitor discharges to SRA and cause voltage spike during turn OFF SRA.
