The V62/10607-01XE is an orderable alias to the TPS76901SDBVTEP.  The V62 is a Vendor Item Drawing controlled by the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime. They are the same part.

Hi Nivedita,

The TPS76901 features internal current limiting protection which also acts as thermal protection. During normal operation, the TPS76901 limits output current to approximately 350 mA. When current limiting engages, the output voltage scales back linearly until the over current condition ends and this reduces power dissipation. However, it is still required that the VIN-VOUT differential is held low enough so that the max junction temperature for the device is not reached.
