TPS562203: Switching waveform ringing

Korean customer named as Hanwha Qcells is working on TPS562203 evaluation for new Solar Micro Inverter project.

They followed the TI reference schematic as below capture.

But, they are seeing ringing from the switching wavform as below capture. They have tried to modify Power inductor value, feedback resistors value, snubber circuit, etc., but they couldn't get improvement. Let us know your opinion how to improve ringing from switching waveform.

Could you pls kindly point out which ringing you are referring to? Not sure if you mean below ringing which is circled. Thank you!

You are correct! Customer wants to reduce oscillation (ringing) for the circled area.

Hi Michael,

It can't be eliminated: this oscillation is related with the resonance between the inductor and the FET parasitic capacitor. If you don't want to see this, we can use FCCM mode device which is TPS562206.
