BQ34210-Q1: Not able to detect device using BQSTUDIO TOOL

Hello Sumit, 

That could be multiple factors that can effect the battery gauge not detecting with BQStudio. The most likely cause is that there is a need for a battery/PWR to be sense on the battery end to turn on the system or you're not using port 2 on the EV2400 debugging module.

Thanks for your response. 

Now i am able to access battery gauge IC. I want to update the design capacity for the IC but after giving i2c ommands , i am unable to see the change getting reflected. Also, I want to update the chemistry of battery pack. How to do it?



I have tried update in below screen also, but the changes are not reflecting

Review the "Quick Guide for bq34210-Q1" to explain how to start from scratch to finish product. However The first step you should perform is use the GPPCHEM tool to get your ChemID that is 3% less than difference error. Then once this is completed verified that your critical parameters for your data memory registers have been updated to where you would follow this up with a calibration of your parameter. Following this you can perform a learning cycle to get your golden image. All the documentation is available online on TI to complete this steps and heavy emphasis on using the "Quick Guide for bq34210-Q1".
