Hi TI team.
I am using TPS2116 oring diode in my design with a priority mode, but this chip is behaving very strange and not blocking current b/w VIN1 and VIN2, please see attached schematic
the issue:
when the VIN1 is present and VIN2 not present, I read same voltage as VOUT at VIN2, no matter weather the VIN2 is floating, or if there is any external voltage applied to VIN2 the chip is heating at 87C,
but when VIN2 is present and VIN1 is not present, I read zero volt at VIN1 and approx. same volt at VOUT = VIN2, and the temp of the chip is around 35C
looks like chip is not disabling VIN2 FET internally when the VIN1 voltage is present.
I have tried various conditions as per the truth table given in datasheet for priority and manual mode, also tried adding hysteresis, adding a capacitor across PR1 pin but each time getting same results, that is when VIN1 is present there is a voltage at VIN2
whats wrong in the circuit or in the chip?
