TPS61175: TPS61175

Part Number: TPS61175

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

We are using this IC for supplying power to our Wireless Charging Circuit. We have followed the layout provided by you in our last ticket. We have designed it according to WEBENCH design. Still it is not working efficiently. The efficiency is low around 75% however claimed is 93%. There is alot of heating and power loss in the circuit. Please check the attached files and suggest a solution as it is causing many issues in our circuitry's functionality.

Best Regards,
Hafiz Rizwan Waheed.

  • Hi,

    We will reply after weekend. Thanks.

  • Hi Hafiz,

    It is found in our former discussion that the input is 4V and output is 9V and 0.8A

    The schematic and PCB all look ok.

    I find that I have test the condition at our EVM.

    The frequency is about 1.1Mhz;

    The stable temperature for device is only 50C vs 20C Ta;

    here are some suggestions:

    1. Please check that your loop is stable.

     The output voltage and SW waveform can be checked.

    2. Please check other waveforms.

    In formal discussion, there is high temperature and other problems(EN signal?).

    I'm not sure if there is something wrong with the circuit.

    2. Decrease the switching loss by decreasing the switching frequency.

    R26 could be changed to 256k or less.

    3. Diode could be changed to a lower Vf to decrease the diode loss.

    Best Regards,

    Fergus
