I am looking at a design that will be a DFP_D Pin Configuration D for DisplayPort Alt Mode and an UFP power consumer with only 15W (5V/3A) requirements. I don't need a PD controller that does power control or internal switches for power. If this exists, I only need 5V/3A support (Type-C charging).
Microcontroller to the PD controller would likely be in the STM32 family or possibly the PS side of Xilinx ZUX series FPGA.
One switch I see is the TUSB1146. In the spec, it shows a simple PD controller, but I have yet to find one on TI's site.
What would be the simplest DP Alt Mode PD controller (primary purpose) with only 15W support. I am looking for smallest package.
