Hi team,

Sorry, this is not a specific question, general question for eFuse.

Do we have the eFuse which have the function of reporting to CPU when the internal power FET is shorted in drain to source? Internal power FET in eFuse is sometimes shorted, so my customer puts Fuse to protect the short of the internal power FET in eFuse.

    Hi Yamamoto-san,

    We do have TPS1641 eFuse which detects IN-OUT short and change FLTb pin accordingly. This pin also goes low if any other fault occurs.

    Can you share your operating conditions. I can see if any high current eFuse also have similar feature (I am assuming you need high current eFuse based on the part you selected in the thread).

    Thank you for the reply. IN-OUT short is the function that my customer was looking for. My customer would like the function of the measurement of load current in eFuse.

    The input voltage: 12V

    The current limit: 30A ~ 40A preferrable.

    EE(End Equipment) is middle end server.

    Hi Yamamoto-san,

    Current monitoring is present in most of the eFuses. IN-OUT short detection is not present in most of the devices. Let me check and get back to you regarding high current eFuse IN-OUT short detection.

    Hi Yamamoto-san,

    IN-OUT short detection is not present in high current eFuse devices. Customer can use a comparator if they want to implement this specific feature.
