My customer is looking for a Boost device, could you help to confirm if we have suitable devices?Thanks.

  • Request: Integrate FET would be better. And they also can accept the device which doesn't integrate MOSFET.

    Thanks for using the e2e forum.
    Are they willing to use a flyback topology for this?
    Then they can adjust the winding ratio to achieve this high boost ration without max duty cycle problems.

    If they choose the correct inductor, they might be able to use LM5157, which has an integrated FET.
    But the ratings are 6.5A max inductor current and 50V abs max on the switch node, so the range of suitable winding ratios is rather slim.

    With a controller and external FET, they would not have the current restriction, so they have more freedom in selecting the transformer.
    LM3488 is capable of this, but I would still recommend LM5155, as it is more modern and has additional features like adjustable softstart, which can be very helpful in such flyback applications.
