What are pros and cons of using parallel and serial encoding TPL, TPH & BT signals in TPS23730 POE IC?

What should be the resistor value if the output power is 12V @ 51W?

Hi Kiran,

Parallel needs TPL, TPH (and BT), all output either Low or High to MCU's GPIO.

Serial needs TPL (and BT), TPL outputs duty cycle as Table 8-3. It needs MCU's GPIO to decode but can save an optocoupler if MCU is on isolated ground with PD.

For 51W, please use CLSA = 32 Ohm, CLSB = 130 Ohm
