BQ34Z100-R2: Load Mode "1" and Load Select "6".

Part Number: BQ34Z100-R2

Tool/software:

Hi,

we are conducting tests by modifying the values of "Load mode" and "Load Select". We are testing with the following configuration:

LoadMode=1

- Load Select=6

- Design energy scale=10

- User-rate-mA =6000

- User-rate-Pwr=12800

We have a load of 6A, with a voltage of 25.6V, which results in a total of 128W. For the (Load mode = 1 & Load Select = 6) configuration, we have modified the "Design energy scale". Could modifying this value affect other parameters of the "GoldenImage" and the system's operation?

Regards,

  • Hello Unai,

    Typically modifying load mode and/or load selection doesn't warrant the need of a new goldenimage to be made (we still recommend it regardless) due to these features modify the algorithm rather than the parameters of the cell itself, however changning Design energy scale is a data flash parameter and it would be recommend since big unaccounted outside errors could be made larger due to scaling. You could still get by for most of development with the current GoldenImage but before final product an update would be warranted.

    Thank you,
    Alan
