Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65987D,
Tool/software:
Hi all,
We designed the schematic using the TPS65987D + BQ25723 and the charging function is tested normally.
Now we have a problem, our board power consumption is close to 15W, and when it is connected to a 5V non-PD power supply, it can sometimes cause the output of the adapter to be unstable, when connected to a desktop computer via a USB A-C cable, it may even cause the computer to shut down.
The test found that when the above two phenomena occurred, the VBUS dropped to 3.7 V. So I checked the manual of the BQ25723, and this is the DPM function of the BQ25723 working.
I tried to change the BQ25723's DPM register limit to 4.5V via the TPS65987D's I2C event, but there doesn't seem to be a way to fix the DPM register to 4.5V, and every time I unplugged the VBUS power and plugged it back in, the DPM register was reset to its default value.
Now I want to write the value of the DPM register to a fixed value 4.5V, how do I do that?
I look forward to your replies, or other ideas and solutions.
Thanks and Regards,
Xavier.
