TPS61299: Maximum effective output capacitance for Iout <1A

What is the maximum effective output capacitance for <1A output current?

The table on page 5 of the datasheet shows 10uF as the typical effective output capacitance, with output current lower than 1A.

Page 25 has this statement, but not sure if this is for greater than or less than 1A of output current...please advise.

Hi Shawn,

For low output current , smaller than 1A, please use 10uF capacitor , but no larger than 20uF.

So the maximum effective output capacitance is 20uF?

What does the statement above mean from page 25 of the datasheet, where it says 4uF to 1000uF?

Hi Shawn,

sorry for the vague description. The maximum couldn't be 1000uF due to boost converter right half zone zero. You could use 20uF effective vaue for reference. Note it has taken the derating under special DC voltage into consideration.

So the 1000uF mentioned on page 25 of the datasheet is not correct and is a mistake in the datasheet. Correct?

The 1000uF description is just an inaccurate description and we will modify in the future.
