TPS2054B: about static drain-source on-state resistance

Part Number: TPS2054B

Tool/software:

Hi team,

In 6.5 Electrical Characteristics of the data sheet, the rDS(on) value is listed as 70mΩ (typ.) and 135mΩ (max.) under the following conditions:

VI(IN) = 5 V or 3.3 V, IO = 0.5 A, -40°C ≤ TJ ≤ 125°C

However, in Figure 6-11, the Static Drain-Source On-State Resistance at VI=5V, IO=0.5A, and -40 to 125°C is approximately 59 to 103mΩ.

What is the difference between the two values?

Regards,

Hiroshi

  • Hi Hiroshi,

In the chart we provide the typical values and Max values. The figure 6-11 shows a detailed relationship between Rdson and temp. You can see 103mΩ < 135mΩ, which is claimed as the max value.
