Tool/software:
Hi team,
In product page in TI.com of TPS2062D, it is announced that TPS2062D is in the process of being discontinued and TPS2062DR is suggested as Drop-in replacement with upgraded functionality.
Our customer have few questions about this like below.
1. The upgraded functionality is about "Current Limit with Peaking" to "Flat Current Limit". Is this understanding correct?
2. If above understanding is correct, does the upgrade means that over current peak is lower than "Current Limit with Peaking" by after the short-circuit output current is reached threshold (Ios), the device immediately switches into constant-current mode at the Ios level ?
It is helpful that you have some material about upgrade and notice point.
3. Does "TPS2062D is in the process of being discontinued." means the current limit of TPS2062D is "Current Limit with Peaking"?
best regards,
teritama
