TPS6507x TSC: {TSX1, TSX2, TSY1, TSY2} classification inaccurate?

Hi,

I would like to ask a question on TPS6507x TSC.

 

 

In Pin Functions of datasheet 13, {TSX1, TSX2, TSY1, TSY2} pins are marked as input pins. However, they are not only input pins and carry the duty of applying voltages when performing various measurements. Although this does not make them "output" pins in the strict sense, they are also not only "input" pins.

So isn't the "I(input)" classification inaccurate?
