TPS1H100-Q1: Is there internal pulldown resistor for pin3 ( Input control for channel activation)?

Hi,

In TPS1H100-Q1 datasheet, the pin3 is for Input control for channel activation. see image below. the datasheet not shows "Input control" is internal pulldown

In functional Block diagram, it shows Input control connect to inside LDO. it seems "Input control" pull-up to high level.

it seems "Input control" pull-up to high level but not pull down to ground. That means if there is no "Input control" (floating), the TPS1H100-Q1 will switch on (VOUT= VS) automatically or default because the inside pull up make the "Input control" to high level. Is my understanding correct?

should I add external pull down resistor if I want TPS1H100-Q1 keep switch off if there is no "Input control"?

Hi Q L,

There is a 500kOhm typ pulldown resistor on the IN pin, it is listed in the Electrical Characteristics table. So if this pin is floating it will be pulled down, no external pulldown resistor is necessary.

Thanks for your reply. Should I consider "internal LDO"? Based on functional Block diagram, IN pin seems connected or pull-up to "internal LDO".

Hi Quan,

This connection to the internal LDO in the functional block diagram only shows that this pin is a low voltage digital pin and isn't indicative of any pullup behavior. The feature description and EC table show the internal pulldown resistor.
