TPS6594-Q1: NVM and reference design for Combined MCU & Main power distribution network when used with TDA4VH SoC

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: J784S4XEVM, TDA4VH

Tool/software:

Does TI have different NVM for this PMIC if it is used with TDA4VH SoC in Combined MCU & Main power distribution network (PDN) implementation (compared to the Isolated PDN), or should the same NVM that is used in TI's evaluation board J784S4XEVM work also with Combined MCU & Main PDN?

Does TI have reference design, an example electrical connections, for this PMIC when it is used with TDA4VH SoC on a Combined MCU & Main power distribution network.

It uses the same PMIC NVM, the TPS6594133A as the isolated PDN implementation. GPIO8 is used to tell the PMIC the power group scenario of the PDN. Please see the highlighted lines from the TPS6594133A user guide for Isolated power groups.

A user guide covering the combined power group PDNs is in progress.

  • Do you have an estimation when the guide for the combined power group PDN would be available?

  • Thank you for your inquiry. US and Europe TI offices are closed on April 18th. You will receive a response early next week. Thank you for your patience!

  • Hi SH,

The guide will most likely be available in early 3Q.
