TPS715A: Part number TPS715A33DRBR X-RAY Inquiry

Part Number: TPS715A

Tool/software:

Dear TI teams,

I would like to inquire if part number TPS715A33DRBR has been changed in the product bonding?

I purchased this part number China origin and Malaysia origin products and did X-RAY comparison and found that the bonding position is different and the China origin product has an extra bond line. Is this normal?

Is it possible to provide the change information?

Thank you and Best regards,

Cassie.Liu

  • Is the bondline process change in this part number related to PCN Number: 20231219012.1?

However, in this PCN file, the construction differences do not indicate that there is an additional bond line, is it normal to have one more bond line for CN origin than for MY origin?

    Thank you and Best regards,

    Cassie.Liu

  • Hi Cassie,

The difference in bonding is due to the silicon change described in PCN 20231219012.1. The new die bonds out slightly differently than the legacy die, and has performance differences as described in the datasheet.

    Best Regards,

    Alex Davis
