LM5117: maximum time of t_on and t_off

Part Number: LM5117

Tool/software:

I would appreciate your help regarding the times in the attached image.

Can the min/ max Duty Cycle be calculated based on these times using the following equations?

For example, if I want D=98% and T_sw=5usec, so ton=98%*5usec=4.9usec and t_off= 100nsec. Is this scenario possible?

  • Hello Ohad

As it is mentioned in the EC table, there is a forced off time which is 440ns (max), this means when Tsw=5us, the maximum duty cycle which you can achieve is 91.2% (1-440n/5u = 0.912). The off-time cannot be less than the forced HO off-time which is 260/320/440ns [MIn/Typ/Max]
