Hi team,

Will the overcurrent limit be activated during soft start?

If it is activated, will charging to the SS pin stop and will startup be impossible?

If a fairly large output capacitor is used, it will be necessary to set the soft start time longer.

Is there a maximum value?

    Hello,

     

    Over current hiccup mode is disabled during soft start.  However, cycle by cycle current hiccup mode is not disabled.

     

    I reviewed the data sheet and there is not a limit on the size of the start capacitor that can be used.

    Please note that the soft start charge current is 25 uA.  So if make sure that the capacitors that you are using due to no have leakage current that prevent the charging of the capacitor.
